What to expect on your first office visit:

For example, your appointment is at 1:30 pm

Please bring your insurance card with you as we will check your Acupuncture benefits, as a complementary service. If you do not have insurance, or Acupuncture benefits through your insurance, we have a number of other options available, including a sliding fee scale for those who qualify. These options will be explained in more detail at your first appointment.

Do you know where our office is located? Please click here for directions.

There is no need to arrive here any earlier than 1:30 pm. This will give you 20 to 30 minutes to fill out your paperwork. You will see the Acupuncturist for your consultation, after you have completed your paperwork, at approximately 2:00pm.

You will have anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes with the Acupuncturist to address what your specific needs are and how Acupuncture can help you. After your consultation, you will be given the opportunity to receive an Acupuncture treatment, which will take approximately an additional ½ hour. After their first appointment, our new clients usually spend at least 10 additional minutes with our office staff. So, to be safe, allow us just over 2 hours of your time for this first visit. After this first visit, for your treatments, you will want to budget about an hour of your time.

Please make sure you have had something to eat before you come in, wear loose clothing that you can push up above your elbows and up above your knees. If you are a caffeine drinker, try not to have any, for at least an hour before your visit as it can make you more sensitive to the needles and it can make it harder to sit still & relax.
